May 8, 2023We sense what is changing; it’s impossible to do otherwise. Sameness is dull, and our attention falls away because we are curious creatures, avid to learn. In yoga, we get more attuned to sense subtle changes, nuanced contrast with fine-grained acuity. Movement is a natural form of experiencing change, being both the reifier and recipient of transitions from moment to moment. A feeling of peace comes with the practice of giving and feeling, and doing it all over again, because it will never be perfect, but it will always be original. It’s how we grow. I notice these days the blossoming trees in their expression of movement, sensing the warmth, the light, and feeling the world in ways we don’t understand. They grow leaves to feel the wind and breathe it. In what ways are you moving into this new cycle of life?
