Principals of Yoga Anatomy & Alignment
Learn how and why your body moves, and how to nurture your body in yoga and prevent injuries and strain. “Smart Yoga” teacher Jesse Enright takes yoga practice, the bio-mechanics of movement and self-knowledge to a deeper level of understanding with experiential yoga anatomy.
A must for all who love and practice yoga! A basic working knowledge of anatomy is not only essential for any Yoga practitioner or instructor, it is is also a profoundly spiritual pursuit, as what we are studying is not a an ideology or philosophy, but the most complex and divine creation in the universe.
Jesse utilizes various anatomy models, props and tools, including a full size functional skeleton, to make the study of anatomy both interactive and inspiring.
Open to all levels. This series of workshops is highly recommended for instructors and serious yogis wanting to learn more about yoga anatomy.
Session 3 – Systemic Anatomy
Session 3 covers the basic anatomy of the various systems of the body (ie. the nervous system, respiratory system, endocrine system, circulatory system etc.), their various components, functions, and the effect that Hatha yoga has on them.
