“Dancing” with our Window of Tolerance
November 5, 2020Week Two • What Do You Give Yourself To?
December 8, 2020So, you chose to do this. We did too! But why? If the answer is “well… it’s yoga, why not?” then let’s look a little closer. Whether consciously or not, there are reasons for our choices, and when we examine them we develop an understanding of what motivates us. When we can recognize our motivations, we can put more energy towards those that bring lasting fulfilment. We see more clearly what we have to offer the world, and work with the gifts that are offered to us.
There is also value in recognizing what is painful in our lives right now, and what we need help letting go of. Pain, whether subtle or obvious, small or encompassing, is a powerful motivator. As long as the practice doesn’t loop back to perpetuate the pain, we can draw inspiration and energy from our pain to clear a new path.
For whatever reason brought you here, we are so pleased you are joining in. We have close to 200 people doing the challenge together… it’s an order of magnitude greater than what we expected.
